Fees & Costs
What Does It Cost?
How much does it cost to hire you?+
We offer clients the option to pay hourly or on a contingency basis. Your consultation is always free.
What percentage do you take from a settlement?+
Our fee is a percentage of the final recovery, typically ranging from 33% for settlements to higher percentages if the case goes to trial.
What if I can't afford to pay for medical treatment right now?+
We can often refer you to medical providers who will treat you on a lien basis, meaning they get paid from your settlement, not out of your pocket today. Your health shouldn't wait because of finances.
Timeline
How Long Does It Take?
How long do I have to file a claim in New Jersey?+
Most New Jersey personal injury claims have a 2-year statute of limitations from the date of the accident. In New York, the statute of limitations is typically 3 years. Some cases, like claims against government entities, have deadlines as short as 90 days. Do not wait to call us.
When will I receive my settlement money?+
Once a settlement is reached, it typically takes 4–6 weeks to receive your funds after paperwork is signed and liens are resolved. We walk you through every step of the distribution process.
Your Case
What Is My Case Worth?
What factors determine the value of my case?+
Compensation is based on medical bills (past and future), lost wages, reduced earning capacity, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and how the injury affected your daily life. We evaluate every factor to maximize your recovery.
What if I was partially at fault?+
New Jersey uses modified comparative negligence. You can still recover compensation as long as you were not more than 50% at fault; your award is simply reduced by your percentage of fault. Don't assume you have no case. Let us evaluate it.
Should I accept the insurance company's settlement offer?+
Almost never. Insurance companies are trained to offer as little as possible, as fast as possible. Once you accept, it's final. Call us first.
What if the other driver was uninsured?+
NJ law requires drivers to carry uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage. We can help you pursue a claim through your own policy to recover the compensation you deserve, even when the at-fault driver has no insurance.
